Yea it’s very ok, if you don’t have triffic for the first month but you should see some improvement on your Google webmaster tools for potential search keywords that your site is appearing for even though you haven’t gotten any click from search engines.
Within 2-3 months you should atlest get a click from search engine. For me I don’t really rely on social media traffic.
The Search that come from search engine is more paramount compared to the one that come from social media because it’s more organic.
You can aggressively promote your blog if you have the energy to do. You can share your content on social medias to get traffic and you can also comments on useful information on other blogs and forums and by then you drop your links but you must ensure to follow the rules of such website so that they don’t see your links as spam.
Try the methods that work best for you for your blog but don’t forget to keep creating more content.
