Why do some questions have duplicate answers marked?
The main reason for closing duplicate questions is to help people find the right answer by putting all of the answers in one place. This doesn't mean that all duplicates will be closed right away; we love (some) duplicates. There are many ways to ask the same question, and if a person asks it in a different way, they might not be able to find the answer.
Marking a question as a duplicate is part of the question-closing process. When a question is closed as a duplicate, "[duplicate]" is added to the subject instead of "[closed]."
Anyone with enough reputation can vote to close a question as a duplicate, along with moderators. They can do this by clicking the "Close" link below the question text, choosing "Duplicate" in the Close dialogue box, and typing the URL or title of the question they think it is a duplicate of into the search bar in the Close dialogue box.
If a user decides to close a question as a duplicate, a comment with a link to the duplicate will be added to the question (if no one else has already done so). The person who voted for that statement owns it and can change it or remove it just like any other comment. In general, the original question must have an answer.
Once the question is closed as a duplicate, these comments are removed, and a link to the duplicate is immediately added to a banner above the question text. If the question that has been closed as a duplicate doesn't have any answers, unknown users will be sent to the question that it is a duplicate of. Some duplicate questions may be removed in the future, but often they are left so that people can find their way to the correct answer.

How do I correct the error in my post title?
Post titles maybe editable. You may just edit it and submit it again. You are less likely to lose any votes or comments if you do this quickly.
What does it mean when a question is "closed"?
Some questions are closed, why?
Questions that need more work or don't belong on this site may be closed by community members with more experience. Questions that are closed can't be answered, but they can be changed so that they can be reopened. If your question is closed, you will get private comments on why it was closed.
Any closed question that gets one vote to reopen from a person with enough reputation is automatically added to a reopen line for review by the community. Also, questions with major changes that address the reason(s) for closing are added to the review list. If enough members of the community agree, the question will be revived and replies will be accepted again.

What if I object to the way a question was closed? How can I re-open it?
If a question is closed for a reason that you don't agree with, you should first try to amend the question to make it as good as you can. Concerns made there should be addressed by carefully reading the close notice and any comments. Any question that has been significantly edited to resolve one or more close reasons is automatically added to a review queue for consideration of reopening.
Additionally:
You can request a reopening of the question in a comment on the question itself. Be specific; don't just say that the question should be reopened; explain why it shouldn't have been closed. Be positive; calling people names is against the Code of Conduct and will certainly turn people away from your cause. In case you forgot, even if a moderator closed a query, anybody on the site with at least 3,000 reputation points can vote to reopen it.
Make sure you have read the closing notice and any comments on the question so that you can respond to any issues brought up there. To address the issues, amending the post is frequently necessary, and anybody may do this.
You can mark a question for moderator attention if a moderator—a person identified by the symbol—closed it. Once more, only do this after editing, and provide a thorough justification for why it needs to be reopened. There are several moderators, and they do review their choices occasionally.
You have the option to vote to reopen the question yourself if you have enough reputation points or more.

How and why do some questions get deleted?
The community and moderators have the right to delete questions that are either significantly off-topic or of very low quality.
Over time, inactive questions that have been asked for a very long time and have no answers may be deleted since they serve no use other than to clutter the site. To prevent a question from being removed, use the "Edit" button to make changes. To learn more about creating good questions, check out the "How do I ask a good question?" page in the Help page.
With few exclusions, users may remove their own questions. To remove the question, select it and then click the "Delete" button that appears.

Why must I wait a day before asking another question on the website?
If you breach the community rules, your account may have a Question and Answer limit. In general, members who want to monetize their points may have a low or high post limit.
If you have a post limit of 3, you may have deliberately violated the community rules by either generating unnatural point, such as a mass upvote, or by attempting to trick the community by generating unnatural point for money or creating multiple accounts for monetization.

What should I do if I don't get an answer to my question?
First, make sure that the question you've asked is a good one. It's possible that you'll need to put more effort into writing your question if you want to get better answers. Edit your question to give details about the state and progress. Write down what you're doing to keep trying to answer your question. This will move your question to the top of the page, where more people will see it.
If you think questions aren't getting good answers despite your best efforts, you can help by giving a reward on any question that's more than two days old.

How do I use tags, and what are they?
Tags are words or phrases that describe what the question is about. Tags are a way to connect experts with questions they can answer by putting questions into well-defined, specific groups.
Tags can also help you discover things that are interesting to you or that are important to you.
When you click on a tag below a question, it takes you to a page with all the questions that have that tag.
Each question can only have a maximum of 5 tags, so pick the ones that best describe it.

Why do I get a message saying my question doesn't meet high standards?
This post isn't good enough to meet our standards.
If you see this message, then your question wasn't accepted by the community. All new questions are subjected to a "minimum quality" filter that checks for some basic indicators of a good, complete question. Check to make sure that your question has the following:
*A straightforward title.
*An explanation that makes sense in light of what your question is.
*Include as many details as you can.
*Any background research that you have attempted but was insufficient to address your issue.
*Correct English spelling as much as you can.
